ALEXANDER, John

  • Name: Alexander, John Rank: Pte Service Number: 803027 John Alexander was a Barnardo Boy whose foster mother Mrs A Geady of Port Colbourne Ontario must have been of some influence for he left her his estate in his will. He attested in the 135th Btn on the 6 March 1916. When the 135th was broken up, he was drafted to the 4th Btn on the 9 April 1918. He was killed in action on the 9 August 1918. His service is remembered in the Bouchoir New British Cemetery.
